| Chinese New Year holiday is so short. India exercise is so long. I just
hope the weather is nice there. I will be in India for some army
exercise for about 6 weeks and I have no idea what my appointment there
is. It better not be sai kang warrior or I'll be really pissed.
Actually, I'm quite lucky I'm not selected to be "security force".
Imagine going all the way to India to do sentry duty everyday. Now that
would really suck!

| This has been a bad week for the platoon.
2 guys went to detention barracks (i.e. military prison) because one of
them accidentally fired off a live round into civilian territory. It's
hard to imagine how this could have happened given the number of
precautions implemented in the protocol. But it happened anyway.
Then lots of people were awarded extra duties for the stupidest
reasons. Some guy called the chief clerk "chief" instead of "mdm".
Things went missing, bunks not neat, etc. No wonder we are getting such
a bad reputation. The chief clerk is probably right when she said that
this is one of the most ill-disciplined batch of signallers.
